CAPSULA MUNDI AT THE ITALIAN DESIGN DAY

Capsula Mundi will represent the Italian design in New Zeland, on the occasion of the Italian Design Day, a worldwide event organised by the Italian Foreign Ministry.

Concurrently, in 100 cities all over the world, 100 testimonials of the Italian culture will present 100 projects of excellence, selected by a technical commettee. The aim is not only to promote the Italian design but also to encourage exchanges with the host countries.

It will be an important occasion to know local abilities and traditions, in particular the maori culture, which is conceptually close to our concept, and to enhance our project.

We are honoured to have been selected for this important event that want to emphasize the combination between the artistic quality and the technology, between art and practicality, between the needs of the day-to-day life and the beauty, at the base of our work.

The 2nd of March, we’ll be in Christchurch to present Capsula Mundi and then we’ll be in Wellington and Auckland for other events.

We would like to thank all the institutions involved: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the ICE agency and the Triennale of Milan fondation. And heartfelt thanks to the Italian Ambassador, Fabrizio Marcelli, Cav. Carolina Izzo (Art & Heritage Conservation), the architect Belfiore Bologna (ARA – Polytechnic – Christchurch), the architect Leonardo Carta.
